With over 15 years of water treatment expertise, we design and manufacture commercial-scale seawater RO desalination plant units with processing capacities ranging from 40 L/h to 1 T/h. For large-scale operations requiring higher flow rates, please explore our industrial desalination systems.
Commercial Seawater Reverse Osmosis Desalination Systems – Flow Chart

High-Efficiency Pretreatment & Heavy-Duty FRP Tanks
All seawater reverse osmosis desalination plants begin with a raw water pump, which delivers raw water to pretreatment tanks. Due to high TDS levels and the corrosive marine environment, these tanks are made of heavy-duty FRP. Equipped with a multi-media sand filter for pre-filtration, commercial RO desalination equipment maintains reliable long-term operation.
Multi-Stage Filtration: Removing Contaminants for Optimal Water Quality
The core purpose of pretreatment is to remove massive suspended solids, iron, turbidity, unwanted color, peculiar odor, chlorine, sediments, organic contaminants, and other unwanted substances. During the pretreatment process, our commercial seawater treatment system supports both manual and automatic operation.
Dual-Stage Cartridge Filter Housing for Fine Polishing
Once the pretreated water exits the media tanks, it enters the cartridge filter housing, often referred to as the security filter. Constructed from PVC, this housing plays a vital role in protecting downstream components. Inside our commercial SWRO systems adopt dual-stage filtration: a 5-micron PP cartridge captures coarse sediment, while a 1-micron string-wound cartridge delivers fine polishing.
1000 PSI FRP Membrane Housings & Super Duplex High-Pressure Pump
After fine filtration, water is pumped into membrane pressure vessels by a sturdy 4kW high-pressure pump. Made from super duplex stainless steel, it resists pitting and crevice corrosion perfectly, ideal for high-salinity marine water desalination and extending service life. The membrane housings, crafted from premium FRP, withstand up to 1000 PSI.
Whether deployed in commercial coastal facilities or industrial brackish water desalination factories, the reverse osmosis membrane remains the core component of the entire system. Our marine desalination RO membranes deliver an exceptional salt rejection rate of up to 99.7%. This high-rejection barrier successfully blocks particulates larger than 0.0001 microns, molecules with a molecular weight between 150 and 250 Daltons, as well as bacteria, sugars, proteins, dyes, and both organic and inorganic dissolved solids.
